Christian Aid is helping poor farmers in Burundi to set up farming cooperatives within their communities.
This gift could provide seeds and training for cooperative members, helping someone like Jean to transform their lives. Jean was struggling to feed his family before he joined a local cooperative whose members plant and harvest sunflowers. They sell their crops at market as a group, which means they can set a much better price.
Jean can now feed his family, and pay for his children’s education and healthcare. He’s currently saving to buy a goat to provide manure for his crops.
