Displacement has had a devastating impact on human lives in the Democratic Republic of Congo, with hygiene being compromised by overcrowding and a lack of clean water.

This gift could provide four days' training for 188 displaced people, which could ensure clean water is supplied to the whole community.

The training focuses on techniques for harnessing water, protecting the purity of the water supply and cleanliness of the water-collection area, as well as for tackling issues such as HIV and gender. A second workshop covers management of the work, hygiene and water purification.
