Whether you can amend or cancel your order will depend on whether it has been processed yet. If you would like to amend your order please contact us.

When you order a card to print at home, you will receive a link in your confirmation email which will take you to a PDF of your card for you to print out. You will need software that can open PDF files, for example Adobe Reader.

You will receive a card for each item purchased. This will either be sent to you or directly to your recipient, as specified by you. Inside the card is a picture of the gift, as well as a brief description of how it is used. See our range of gift cards.

The money from each Present Aid product goes into one of five Christian Aid funds, as explained on our How we spend your money page.
 

If for some reason you are having trouble placing an order, please contact us so that we can try and help. You can either email us or call us on 0845 3300 500 (Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm). When emailing, please include as much information as possible, including your operating system, browser and a screen shot, if possible.

We accept the following cards for payment: American Express, Mastercard, Switch, Solo, Maestro and Visa.

The total amount you pay is unaffected, regardless of the payment method used.

We will contact your payment card company for authorisation when you place your order. Your payment card will then be debited immediately upon authorisation of your card payment.

You are responsible for payment of all orders placed using your Present Aid account.

We are unable to accept CAF payments on the website, but you may place an order and pay by CAF by calling 0845 3300 500 (Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm).

When you have placed your order, you will see a confirmation page and you will receive an email. Please check your spam folder as emails may sometimes go there.

We make every effort to ensure that all orders are delivered within the times given on our delivery page. If your order hasn't arrived within the specified time, please contact us on 0845 3300 500 (Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm).

We don't charge any extra for postage and packing for any order, irrespective of delivery address. We welcome additional donations in contribution to delivery charges, however.

As the gifts are virtual, your contribution may not specifically provide the item you buy. Therefore we cannot allocate or dedicate items. Learn more about how it works.

At the time of purchase, we cannot be certain as to what project your contribution will benefit. This means that we are unable to provide updates or photographs. For a more general update on how Christian Aid will spend your donation, please visit the what we do section of the Christian Aid website.

Christian Aid believes that local people know best the solutions to the issues they face. As with all the projects we support, those that include the provision of goats have followed requests from our overseas partners. In each case, the goats are kept in enclosed areas or are tethered, but with room to move around. Care is taken to ensure that they are not able to damage crops or the environment. For this reason, the projects we support that provide these animals remain very successful, localised and small-scale but non-intensive husbandry initiatives.

Many of the people we help have a history of keeping livestock and it is part of their culture. The projects we support are run by local partner organisations that assess the most suitable ways to help. Christian Aid is guided by their expertise as well as local, cultural concerns.

Owning livestock is a means of providing a living for many people in the developing world. Consequently, making sure the animal is well cared for is a priority for people who own them. The recipients of livestock receive training in animal husbandry and local veterinary care is usually available. It is quite common for the animal to enjoy a better quality of life than its owner. An example of this is the Present Aid gift of animal husbandry training in Afghanistan.

We do not currently offer a specific gift list function. However, the group gift facility means that you can set up a page and ask friends and family to contribute to your gift. Learn more about giving as a group.

There are currently no fixed plans to include gift lists, however, we are considering this for the future. If you feel you would use a gift list feature, please contact us to let us know.

It is now possible to place an order without entering a password - please click through to checkout and continue without registering. You will be given the option to create a password once you have placed your order. If you do so, you will be able to sign in and view your past order information, save addresses to your address book and edit your account information.

Your password is unique to your email address and ensures that your account details remain secure.

If you have forgotten your password and cannot log in, please click the forgotten password link under the sign in fields and enter your email address. You will be sent a link which will allow you to reset your password.

If you are able to log in but would like to change your password, please go to “My Account” and then click “Edit” under “Account information” and tick the box next to change email or password. You will then be able to edit your password or email address.

Certificates are provided as part of group gifts, in addition to postal gift cards. We don't offer certificates for individual gifts; however, please contact us if you are having trouble ordering what you require.

At present, we are only able to deliver group gifts by post. Please contact us if you would like an e-card or print-at-home card as part of your group gift.

When a group gift reaches its target, the group giving page is closed and the gift cards and certificate are dispatched. If the final payment made to the group giving page exceeds the target for the page, the excess income will be treated as a general donation to Christian Aid.
