A floating garden could provide a farmer with a means to earn a living.

Shakti lives in an area of Bangladesh that is often flooded. He and his wife used to struggle to feed their children, let alone afford their education.

Christian Aid partner the Christian Commission for Development in Bangladesh provided seeds and training for Shakti to start a 'floating garden', growing crops suited to wet conditions.

Now Shakti sells the produce from his garden and can afford to send his children to school and buy good food and clothing for his family.
