This gift is part of a woolless sheep rearing project for families in the Amazon rainforest.
Woolless sheep thrive in this area and provide an important source of protein for communities who can no longer easily hunt animals in the rainforest. They also give families an important source of income.
The sheep are reared by a collective of families from the community. Local partners provide training in how to look after the sheep, including how to vaccinate them.
Once the families have 100 sheep, they return 20 to the partner to give the opportunity to another community, or group of families.
